"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" - Isaiah 41:10 Mary Elizabeth Austin entered into eternal rest on March 28, 2021. She was born on August 2, 1932 in Eaton, Georgia. Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She moved to New Jersey and joined Grace Chapel Baptist Church where she served as an usher for many years. While in New Jersey, she worked for the United States Postal Service in Passaic. She retired and moved to Virginia in 1997, where she joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church and served as a deaconess. Mary enjoyed cooking, soap operas, planting flowers and shopping. She also enjoyed church events, bowling, watching tennis with her husband and most of all sharing her love with her family and her dog, Prince. She was also a dedicated member of the Cartersville Rescue Squad. Mary leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Cecil Austin of Cartersville, VA; three sons, James Borum of Richmond, VA, Ronald Austin (Regina) of Fork Union, VA and Gary Austin (Michelle) of Haymarket, VA; two brothers; two nieces, Barbara Tate (Aaron) and Benediene Reid; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends, four devoted, Kitty "Evelyn" Hargrove, Lee Poor, Verna Mae Mahan and Sybil Gregory. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed. God saw a place for her to rest. God looked down upon her body, so tired from hanging on, from a life so overwhelming. He gave her what was best, a place where she could be at peace.
