Obituary of Jason Jamal Edwards

Jason was born on November 23, 1970 in Riverhead, New York to Larry Mack and the late Bunachia "Connie" Edwards. He resided in Newark, New Jersey in his earlier years and later, in his teenage years, moved to Powhatan, Virginia. He accepted Jesus Christ in his adult life. He attended Centura College to join the medical field. He had a life-long passion for learning and helping others. He enjoyed time with his family and listening to music. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Jayquan Edwards of Bellport, New York, his father, Larry Mack, (Tammy), and grandmother; Mabel Mack all of Powhatan, Virginia; fiancée, Felicia Bland of Fork Union, Virginia; four sisters, Kiesha Washington-Dean (Jimmy) of Riverhead, New York, Walida Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicole Leggon (Edward) of Riverhead, New York, and Carisa Barwick of Lakeland, Florida; one brother, Anton Mack of Riverhead, New York; five nieces, Amani Edwards and Isis McDonald of Atlanta, Gergia, Aniyah MackStone, Priyah Washington, and E'Nyah Curry of Riverhead, New York; six nephews, Christopher Washington, Malik Washington, Amariyon Leggon, and Preston Washington of Riverhead, New York; Devin Washington of Beach Island, South Carolina, and Duke Barwick of Lakeland, FL; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, But remember me in every tomorrow, Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I've only gone to rest a little while, Although my leaving causes pain and grief, My going has eased my hurt and given me relief, So dry your eyes and remember me, Not as I am now, but as I used to be.
