Carl Arlington Walton, Jr. was born on July 9, 1933 to Carl and Estelle Batchelor Walton in Powhatan, Virginia. He was 11th or 12th of twelve children (a twin). He attended schools in Powhatan County. At an early age Carl relocated to Montclair, New Jersey. He married the love of his life Charlene Turner who preceded him in death at an early age. To this union 2 children were born, Glenn and Janice. After his wife's death Carl moved to California. In 1974 Carl moved back to New Jersey where he worked as a carpenter for Hobson Construction and he also worked as a mechanic. Later in life Carl was blessed with two more daughters, Jacqueline and Sandra. When Carl's health began to fail his children relocated him back to Powhatan where he resided with his niece, Pauletta for a few years until he was unable to care for himself. He spent his final days in The Golden Living Nursing Home on Mountain Road, Glen Allen, Va. Carl was an avid walker. Anyone who knew him could tell you he walked Powhatan County every day. Not just a mile or two, but for sure at least 5-6 miles per day. Carl Arlington Walton, Jr. of Powhatan, Virginia departed this life on Sunday November 1, 2015 at the Golden Living Center, Glen Allen, VA. His sister, Thelma who preceded him in death made sure he was dressed and fed.
