Obituary of Macdonald Robertson

Macdonald Robertson, a son of the late Ollie Robertson and Olivia Fields Robertson was born on June 18, 1932 in Cumberland County, Virginia. At an early age he was converted baptized and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He attended the public schools in Cumberland. After school he joined the United States Army receiving his honorable discharge in 1960. After service Macdonald was employed with Botue Electric where he was a dedicated employee for 45 years. While living in New Jersey he joined Faith Temple Baptist Church where he was a faithful member. In 1993 he was joined in wedlock to Ms. Essie Johnson. In 1997 they returned to Virginia to make their home. They lived happily together until his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Ollie, Jr., Floyd, Arthur and Raymond. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Essie Robertson; a step son, Ollie Johnson (Margaret); 4 step-daughters, Mary Frances Freeman (Larry) Joann Allen, Esther Boone and Bernice Jones; 13 grandchildren; 11 great Grandchildren and one great great grandchild; 2 brothers, Henry Robertson (Louise) and Robert Robertson; three aunts, Catherine Smith, Mary Dangerfield and Emma Dangerfield; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
