Harold Lee Brown was born on May 2, 1961 in Cartersville, Virginia to Clarence and Hannah Brown Gilliam. He attended and graduated from Cumberland County Schools. Harold was a very kind, loving and giving man, who truly wanted to please and help everyone. He loved to build things. Harold was a man of his word; if he said he would do something for you, it was done. He worked at Deep Meadows Corrections Center from 2006 to 2015. On Monday, February 9, 2015 Harold departed this life at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded by his mother, Hannah. He leaves to cherish his fond memories: wife, Melody; father, Clarence; two brothers, Sampson Brown (Darlene) and Michael Gilliam (Latasha); two sisters, Mary and Betty Gilliam; 1 uncle, Robert Gilliam; eight aunts, Mary Alice Gaskins, Bernette Crump, Carol Giles, Margaret Brown, Frances Rose, Otelia Gilliam, Thelma Allen and Gertrude Lane; 1 brother –in-law, Joe Butler along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, two devoted, Katie Scott and Cindy Fulk.
